Product Description Virginias Shenandoah Valley is a long way from Hollywood. And thats exactly how Cilla McGowan wants it. Cilla, a former child star who has found more satisfying work as a restorer of old houses, has come to her grandmothers farmhouse, tools at her side, to rescue it from ruin. Sadly, no one was able to save her grandmother, the legendary Janet Hardy. An actress with a tumultuous life, Janet entertained glamorous guests and engaged in decadent affairsbut died of an overdose in this very house more than thirty years earlier. To this day, Janet haunts Cillas dreams. And during waking hours, Cilla is haunted by her melodramatic, five-times-married mother, who carried on in the public spotlight and never gave her a chance at a normal childhood. By coming east, rolling up her sleeves, and rehabbing this wreck of a house, Cilla intends to find some kind of normalcy for herself. Plunging into the project with gusto, shes almost too busy to notice her neighbor, graphic novelist Ford Sawyerbut his lanky form, green eyes, and easy, unflappable humor (not to mention his delightfully ugly dog, Spock) are hard to ignore. Determined not to perpetuate the family tradition of ill-fated romances, Cilla steels herself against Fords quirky charm, but she cant help indulging in a little fantasy. But love and a peaceful life may not be in the cards for Cilla. In the attic, she has found a cache of unsigned letters suggesting that Janet Hardy was pregnant when she diedand that the father was a local married man. Cilla cant help but wonder what really happened all those years ago. The mystery only deepens with a series of intimidating acts and a frightening, violent assault. And if Cilla and Ford are unable to sort out who is targeting her and why, she maylike her world-famous grandmother be cut down in the prime of her life.

Great Service -- great book!!! December 16, 2008 I received my order in record time. The book is in immaculate condition and the read superb.
I found it oddly lacking December 15, 2008 I have been a big Nora Roberts fan since the 80's, but recently I've found myself bored by her books (the exceptions being the JD Robb series). I don't know if I can put my finger on why I didn't like this book, but it took me a month to read it which is highly unusual for me. In fact, I had to force myself to finish which I've never done with one of NR's books. I couldn't have cared less about either of the main characters. I prefer characters who aren't so one-note and both Cilla and Ford came across as very one-note to me. I actually liked Cilla's ex-husband better than anyone else in the story...maybe Nora should have written about him instead.
TRIBUTE December 2, 2008 Nora Roberts is one of my personal favorite authors. I generally read 4 books a month, but I am savoring they reading of Tribute. I am very impressed with the characters and where the story is going. It is a must read for Nora Roberts fans and those that just want a good story line.
A Good Read... November 30, 2008 After some dismal writing of late, Nora Roberts is back in Tribute. I'm her biggest fan...if we're talking about the "Born In" series or The Quinn Brothers series or the "Daring To" series. These are great romances, and Nora Roberts is the best. But her recent books (Blood Brothers, the Hollow, Angel Falls, Northern Lights) have put me off. They were difficult to get into. In fact, I didn't finish any of them because I was bored. Tribute, however, shines with the Nora Roberts I've grown to love. I began to fear she couldn't pull off another great romance, but she did with Tribute. Get it. It's great reading.
review on service, and product Tribute, by Nora Roberts November 30, 2008 The dealer was great, and the product was in good condition, a real bargain. Thank you
